At least two people were killed and several injured after a charter bus carrying dozens of passengers overturned overturned outside Dallas Thursday morning during the rush hour commute, KDFW reported.
Rescue teams could be seen removing passengers from an escape hatch on the bus' roof and through windows. Some passengers were treated along the side of the road.
Las Colinas Medical Center in Irving confirms that six patients from the wreck have been transported to the facility. Details weren't immediately available on their conditions. Hospital spokesman Tyler Adams says he believes more patients are on their way.
A spokesman for Baylor Medical Center in Irving said patients also were arriving at his hospital. Officials expected about a dozen patients from the crash.
Witnesses say the bus may have blown a tire and rolled several times during the crash.
"Most of the people we pulled out were in shock, they're just crying, we were just trying to get them out and calm them down," said Robert Hare, who witnessed the crash.
"It was just people stacked on top of each other and the bus, it was three seats and the aisle was on the bottom, so all three seats feel into the aisle and they're on top of each other," said Ed Cluck, another witness.

The accident occurred along the north-bound side of Highway 161, or the George Bush Turnpike, near Belt Line Road. The road has been shut down in both directions.
The bus, which was operated by Cardinal Charter Bus Company, was reportedly headed to a casino in Durant, Okla.
